Make learning how to hand sew a fun experience for the kids by letting them create their own Squishmallow-inspired plush toy! This workshop will be great fun for girls and boys too!
Let their creativity run wild while as they explore working with felt and the capabilities of using a needle and thread. Each child will get to customise their toy designs, stitch it together and fill it with toy stuffing. We have patterns for them to follow, or they can come up with their own characters. They will be making at least 2 designs. They could even create that hard to find Squishmallow, or the one they really want. They will create their very own, unique Squishmallow-inspired softies to take home.
This workshop is suitable for ages 8 years old and up, and for completed beginners or those with some hand sewing sewing experience.
About Catherine Mayne
Catherine is a sewing professional with more than 30 years’ experience in the Theatre & TV industries worldwide. After completing an Associate Diploma in Production & Design (WAAPA), Catherine specialised in Wardrobe Supervising and Costume Construction, working with costume teams around the world to create designs for both stage and screen. With a genuine passion for connecting with people and sharing sewing skills, Catherine has a particular interest in teaching people how to create and take care of their own clothing.
