Whoever said crochet is only for grannies? Beginners Crochet is one of our most popular classes and is such an easy craft to get started in. We provide everything you need to get started including a crochet hook and a ball of yarn, so all you have to bring is yourself and a little bit of patience!

Students will learn basic crochet techniques, what the most common stitches are, how to change colours and how to read crochet patterns. Put all these together and you will have your first granny square by the end of the class. Classes are small, intimate and hands on so you will get the most out of your time.

After attending our Beginners Crochet Workshop you might like to attend our Social Crochet Meets or our Beginners Amigurumi Crochet Workshop, to further increase your crochet skills and explore the world of crochet!

“Could you please pass on my thanks to Elizabeth for the great crochet class yesterday. I really enjoyed it and felt I came away with the ability to start crocheting.”  – Kelley attend the Beginner’s Crochet Workshop

“Just wanted to say thank you for such a great class on Sunday. I cannot believe that I have made a nanny square (it’s not perfect but it looks like one). Such a great space, the teacher was fantastic and Pepper is so bloody cute.” – Patty attended our Beginner’s Crochet Workshop

“The instructor was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer any and all questions, no matter how silly they may have seemed. This one course gave me the skills to push forward on my own… The whole vibe of Sew Make Create is incredibly welcoming and calm. I really look forward to many more visits in the future & can’t recommend them enough.” – Mark attended our Beginner’s Crochet Workshop
