With Jemini Pankhania
The kids are making their own clay creations in this a full day of fun, craft and learning new skills.
Students will design, create and glaze their own ceramic vessel or sculpture with Jem. They will get to plan their ideas onto paper and then make them come to life. Jem will guide them through the steps to make a hand-built vessel or sculpture out of clay, teaching various techniques to sculpt and attach handles and adornments to their pieces. In the afternoon they will then underglaze two of their chosen pieces to decorate with colour and paint the finishing details. These will then stay with us for the firing and clear glaze. Finished pieces will be available to be picked up within 4 weeks of making. Once the pieces are complete, they are fully functional, meaning they are dishwasher, microwave and food safe!
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners aged 8 years old and up. All tools and materials are provided for this workshop.
