With Lindsay Pells
For the school holidays we have a full day of craft and yarn fun! In the morning the kids will get to create their own dream catchers. Originally from Native American cultures, dream catchers were handmade and believed to give their owners good dreams. Hung over one’s bed, dream catchers were meant to catch the bad dreams in their intertwined strings. Using a range of materials such as ribbons, string, yarn, beads and lace, each child will get to create their own, beautiful dream catcher to hang in their bedroom.
In the afternoon workshop the kids will weave their own small tapestry using different yarns and threads. They will learn this unique, traditional, creative craft to create their own designs. Getting hands on with different materials they will understand the structure of weaving and the concept of warp and weft to create a small wall hanging.
Kids and Teens will finish the day with 2 unique, beautiful, colour and textured pieces. They would have learnt new techniques for them to create more pieces at home. All tools and materials are provided for this workshop, just pack a healthy lunch and some snacks!
Save 10% off the class fee when your child books in with at least 1 friend.
