With Catherine Mayne
Our Weekly, After School Sewing Group runs on Wednesday afternoons during school term. These weekly classes are suitable for kids of all skill levels from 9 years old and up. Whether they are complete beginners or already have sewing experience, the class size is small so each student will receive the assistance they need from an experienced Teacher.
For complete beginners we have a set class program to teach them all the basics and create good foundation skills, with fun projects for them to create. Materials are provided for their first sewing projects. For those that already know how to sew, they get full creative freedom to sew whatever project they desire. Each student must bring their own choice of fabrics, accessories and projects. We have an endless list of suggestions for projects which would be suitable for your child’s skill level.
The weekly sewing sessions will keep them inspired, motivated and give them enough time to complete a project they will be proud of. The regular classes are prefect for budding sewists, students that need extra help with Design & Technology or HSC work and future Fashion Designers. They will learn new skills so their experience and confidence with sewing will continue to grow. Our workshop is equipped with sewing machines, overlockers and basic sewing tools for our students. We have a small selection of fabrics and accessories which are available for purchase.
